Workshop – Safely Combine Open Source and Third Party Software in Embedded Systems |
In the last decade, software has become a key differentiator when it comes to developing embedded systems. As this reliance on software grows, so does the costs and complexity of managing these projects. And in the race to get products to market, combining open source and third party software is becoming more common place.
Integrating third party software into your application requires significant efforts in testing and debugging. Unfortunately it often results in missed deadlines, late product delivery and increased development costs.
So how do you decide if your embedded software is ready for release?
Static code analysis and architectural tools can monitor and assure the overall reliability and security of your software, while also keeping track of and enforcing the software architecture of your system. Since these tools are most beneficial when used early in the development process, they can help you detect and fix costly and embarrassing software defects well before your product ships.
This technical workshop will use practical examples to demonstrate proven methodologies that optimise the overall software development process.
The workshop is organised by Logic Technology and its partners Klocwork and Lattix.
