TX25: Freescale i.MX25 processor module, ARM9

The Freescale i.MX25 processor is at the heart of Ka-Ro's TRITON Star TX25 module (400 MHz, ARM9) which is - amongst other application areas - targeting the automation industry. Thanks to its extensive feature set, with e.g. an extended temperature range of -40°C / +85°C, the inexpensive TX25 can easily compete with much higher-priced modules.

  • World's smallest i.MX System on Module
  • Freescale i.MX25 processor
  • 400 MHz ARM9 CPU
  • 64 Mb SDRAM
  • 128 Mb NAND Flash
  • Ethernet 10/100 Mbps
  • USB 2.0 host / OTG
  • LCD controller
  • Still picture camera interface
  • Same signal pinout as TX27 and TX37 modules
  • Operating temperature range -45°C...85°C
  • Small size: 67.6 x 26 x 4.2 mm
    • Connector: DIMM 200 low profile
  • RoHS compliant (lead free)
  • Several peripheral interfaces:
UART, SD-CARD, I2C, CAN, Keypad, Digital Audio (AC97/I2S), Configurable serial peripheral interface

" The price of the TX25 makes it an excellent choice for company's who are currently using 16-bit MCU's and would like to migrate to standard operating systems such as Linux and Windows CE "

TX27: Freescale i.MX27 processor module, ARM 9

TX27 Module at Logic Technology - Click to enlarge

Thanks to its low-power characteristics, Ka-Ro's TX27 module is ideal for applications that require a high level of flexibility and mobility, for example, in diagnostics, after-sales service tools, devices with remote access and in mobile multimedia applications (thanks to the integrated H.264 hardware CODEC).

The TX27, which Ka-Ro has developed with the Freescale processor i.MX27, is an attractive choice also due to its compact format. With dimensions of just 67.6 mm x 26.0 mm x 4.2 mm (max.), the TX27 is one of the smallest modules in the world.

  • World's smallest i.MX System on Module
  • Freescale i.MX27 processor
  • 400 MHz ARM9 CPU
  • 64Mb - 128 Mb mobile DDR-SDRAM
  • 128 Mb NAND Flash
  • RTC DS1339 Real Time Clock
  • Ethernet 10/100 Mbps
  • USB 2.0 host / OTG
  • LCD controller
  • MPEG-4 H.263/H.264 Hardware Codec
    • Codec is not included in lower cost TX27L version
  • Camera interface
  • Same signal pinout as TX25 and TX37 modules
  • Operating temperature range -20°C...85°C
  • Small size: 26 mm SO-DIMM
    • Connector: DIMM 200 low profile
  • RoHS compliant (lead free)
  • Several peripheral interfaces:

Ka-RO ElectronicsAbout KA-RO:
Ka-Ro electronics was founded in 1988 by Matthias Kaussen and Rolf Rosenstein. It was recognised early on that pure manufacturing services could not completely cover the high demands set by the customer. Even shorter development times, together with the rapid changes in component geometries and their availability, led to the need for a competent partner who could solve all of these problems. It is precisely the solution to these problems that KARO electronics made into its "dynamic" goal.
